WAYS TO VOLUNTEER
Event Support: Volunteers are contacted when we need additional people power to help produce events such as investor pitch nights, fundraisers and more. People in this role can anticipate our organizations inquiry for help ranging from last minute notifications to several weeks before the event. This role might be best for individuals who want to be of service but cannot consistently commit to a significant amount and/or scheduled times.
Workshop Facilitators: Work directly with our Mentors to promote Dream Maker’s participation in workshop activities, re-focus Dream Makers’ attention when they are distracted and encourage a positive and welcoming environment for all participants. Facilitators need no requisite knowledge about the content of the workshop, only the desire to empower youth through entrepreneurship and capacity to support our workshop’s leader(s).
Mentors/Jedi Trainers: They create and lead/co-lead workshop(s), which are typically an educational activity, to teach Dream Makers useful and/or relevant information to their programs specific focus and their business idea or prototype. Mentors are expected to be intermediate to experts in their workshop’s teachings and are not restricted to any minimum time commitment, although we hope our mentors consider participating in additional workshops (*only expected to show up and lead/co-lead a workshop you signed up for).
